Final Fantasy XIII sur PC est un jeu de rôle qui s'intègre dans le projet Fabula Nova Crystallis. Prenant pour cadre un univers à la fois futuriste et fantaisiste, l'histoire fait ressortir les contrastes entre le Bas-Monde primitif de Pulse et l'astre artificiel de Cocoon, construit dans l'espace par des entités supérieures nommées fal'Cie. Six personnages vont voir leur destin chamboulé par l'apparition d'un fal'Cie de Pulse, mystérieusement échoué sur Cocoon.
